Bet365 Edit Bet does come with a catch!
Be aware that any changes your bet will result in an update to the latest odds which may be less than the prices initially taken.
The only downside to changing your bet that we’ve found is that your new stake will be equal to the cash out value of the bet which is generally less, so changes to your bet do come at a cost.
In our Definitive guide to Cash Out Betting, we discuss that cost to the punter for taking cash out valuations which are just a fraction of the original stake placed.
The only time where the cash out value does not apply is when a selection is added to the bet and the original selections are still pre-match with no changes to the odds, as a result the new stake will be the same as the original one. Or if the user changes the type of bet and the cash out value cannot be divided equally out.

With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility
The question you need to ask yourself is whether the bookmakers are providing too much freedom for punters to change their bets on the fly. I mean how many times will you end up swapping your bets before the first game even starts, talk about purgatory. What would annoy me even more is if I were to change a bet and find out it went the other way back to my original stake.
Our Verdict
Personally I’m not a big fan of these new features that allow punters to swap and change or even cash out as they come at the expense of the gamblers with either significantly reduced odds or a cash out value that’s equal to the original stake in the first place, so where’s the value in that?
That said it is a decent feature to have for accumulator bets, especially for horse/dog racing. God knows the number of times I’ve had a hag out due to injury which scuppering a decent acca win, but in my opinion the edit bet with bet365 should be used as an option of last resort.
