Man City v Leicester Betting Preview | 06/02/16

Emirates Stadium – KO: 12:45

This weekends Premier League crunch match between Manchester City and Leicester is as crucial as it gets, with only 3 points separating them at the top of the table. Leicester who are on cloud-9 due to the remarkable performance of their lead striker (Vardy), But they have a tough couple of weeks with important games against Man City and Arsenal.

Man City who have had a rocky first half of the season appear to be getting their act together. They currently have a cracking home-form, winning four out of the last five home games (in most cases quite comfortably).

So you’d feel confident that Man City will walk away from the game with 3-points right? Well that’s not entirely the case. City in the last couple of games against Everton and West Ham have only be able to scrape a draw, so against mid-table teams they can’t seem to finish them off.

Leicester continue prove the critics wrong and are STILL top of the table going into February, with a sense of arrogance and work-rate that can only be admired.

So far they haven’t had too few injuries or setbacks, so it will be interesting to see how well they will cope if this happens. Leicester’s recent form shows they have every chance of winning the title, with Vardy on “fire” scoring 18 goals so far this season with a game/goal ratio of 1.00. Leicester’s away form has been particularly good in the last 10 games.

If last months game (29th Dec) is anything to go by, then expect to see a very cagey start to the game. My head says it will not be anything but a Man City win, but Leicester have proven the critics time and time again not to write them off this season, so I’m going to play safe and say it should be a draw with both sides to score.

City are without captain Kompany and Nasri, with striker Wilfred Bony doubtful for the game.

Leicester look to fielding a full squad with only some doubt over Jeff Schlupp, but it’s likely hit should be fit.
