What is Paddy Power Hotshot Jackpot?

PaddyPower Hotshots is simply a predictions game where punters get to pick the 6x first goalscorer from a list of six games for a chance to win £100,000. It’s available every week to anyone with a Paddy Power account and best of all it’s completely free.

To be part of this incredible promotion, first you need a Paddy Power account. Go to the Paddy Power Hotshot jackpot promotion page and make your selection of the first goalscorers in each of the six games selected for that week.

You’re also asked to complete the Hotshot Tiebreaker Question which involves guessing the time of the first goal to be scored in a Hotshots Jackpot fixture to be selected by Paddy Power. Get all six goalscorers correct and you win the £100k jackpot.

So whats the catch?

Absolutely nothing, Paddypower Hotshot is free to play and you use the same login details as you would for

No Winner? No Worries you can still win a prize

If the jackpot is not won for that round, there is a Hotshot consolation prize of £2,500 still up for grabs. The prize is awarded to the person with the highest number of first goalscorers, with a minimum of five fixtures completed for the prize to be awarded.

If that’s not enough the Top 10 participants with highest number of goalscorers and closest tiebreaker answer will win a free bet of €/£25.

Finally at the end of the season, after all rounds are completed the overall leader with the most goalscorers will also pick-up £2,500.

Clearly this is a genius marketing scheme to get punters to regularly access their account in the hope that they will also place a bet, but apart from that there’s no string attached!

So what are the odds of you winning?

Each game can have a maximum of 28 players (we have 22 players + 6 subs) = 1/28 (1.03)

If we multiply 1/28 six times we come to astronomical odds of 481 Million to 1. But bear in mind this is worst case with the maximum number of players.

If we decided to remove the back four and goalkeeper for each game and allow for one sub from each team we get 1/14 (multiply by six games) give us a more reasonable 7.5 million to 1.

FAQ – Key Terms

Do I need to place a bet to join?

No, the competition is completely free to play for anyone with a Paddy Power account.

How many times can I apply?

Players can only have one account. Anyone found to have multiple accounts will have them deleted.

What if there is two or more winners?

If more than one player gets all six first goalscorers correct, the £100k pot is split between the winners. If no winner claims the prize the jackpot will NOT roll-over into the next round.

What if there’s multiple Consolation Round winners?

If two or more participants have equal no of goalscorers, the player with the nearest tiebreaker answer (nearest time the first goal was scored in the fixture selected by Paddy Power) wins the prize.

If both players miraculously have the same time then the prize fund is split equally.

Are own-goals included?

No own goals are not taken into account, only goals scored from opposing players.

What happens if one of the players i’ve selected doesn’t play?

Then you can no longer win the £100,000 jackpot, but you can still take part in the £2,500 consolation prize provided no one gets all 6 goalscorers.

Our Verdict

If you’re a regular Paddy Power punter, this is a “no brainer” and further cements PP as the top bookmaker for MBS and value for punters. While other Bookies have similar jackpots none are as generous and entertaining as Paddy.
